Point Spread: 3.50 | -108.00 Phoenix (Away)
Result: Win
The Phoenix Suns have started the season the way they ended the season in the bubble, winning. They have won three out of their first four games and two in a row. They are coming off a 111-86 blowout win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Jae Crowder had 21 points to lead the Pelicans. Cameron Johnson added 18 points and DeAndre Ayton chipped in a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
The Utah Jazz have won two of their first three games to start the season and are coming off a 110-109 road win at Oklahoma City. In the win, Bojan Bogdanovic led the team with 23 points and he had five-three pointers. Mike Conley added a double-double with 20 points with 10 rebounds to go with nine assists, Donovan Mitchell chipped in 20 points. Rudy Gobert also had a double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds.
The Jazz have been building nicely this season, but they were far from convincing in their narrow win over the struggling Thunder in their last outing. The Suns have been in fine form with three wins out of four and they were dominant in their blowout win over the Pelicans which allowed them to rest their starters early. This is a tough one to pick as you could make an argument for either side here, but I’m taking the Suns with the points in what should be a close one.
The Suns have been playing well on both ends of the court. The Jazz have started out the season winning, but have not been doing it in a convincing fashion. The Suns have been getting contributions off the bench and have shown that they can win when Booker does not have a good game. I think this game will be close so I am taking the points.
