The Tigers are coming off a three-game sweep of the Seattle Mariners. The Tigers will look to keep things going by sending Jose Urena to the mound. He has posted a 4.22 ERA this season with 32 strikeouts and 19 walks.

Kansas City took both games from the Milwaukee Brewers in a short 2-game set. The Royals will look to keep things headed n the right direction and will counter with Mike Minor. He has posted a 5.02 ERA this season in 43.0 innings this season with 44 strikeouts and 17 walks.

Urena had some nice starts but was hit in the leg with a line drive in his last outing and was hit pretty well. Both these offenses struggle to put up runs so if these pitchers are halfway decent they should have good outings. The Tigers have been one of the worst batting teams this season. Urena has gone under in his last four road starts. The Tigers have gone under in eight of their last nine games against a southpaw.
