The Cubs are in a free-fall right now and it may have come at the right time as now it should be apparent that this team is not capable of winning it all and should be sellers at the trade deadline. The Cubs will look to get a win and break their 10 game losing streak by sending Jake Arrieta to the mound. He has posted a 5.57 ERA with 62 strikeouts and 34 walks in 72.2 innings.

The Cubs have lost 10 in a row and are sending out a pitcher in Arrieta that has been struggling. He has allowed 14 runs (nine earned) in his last three starts, going just 9.2 innings. Nola has been a little inconsistent as of late. In two starts, he has tossed 14 innings and has not given up a run. but has also allowed 13 earned runs in just 7.0 innings. The Cubs are a mess right now and there is no bigger mess than Arietta.
