The Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns start the NBA Finals tonight in Phoenix. Milwaukee Bucks made it to the finals by getting by the Atlanta Hawks in six games despite an injury Giannis Antetokounmpo, who missed the last two games of that series. Antetokounmpo was leading the team with 28.2 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 5.2 assists prior to the injury. Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Bobby Portis, and Brook Lopez had to step up against the hawks and they did. Antetokounmpo is listed as doubtful for today's game.
The Phoenix Suns have had some luck getting here playing against three teams that were suffering from injuries to key players. That does not take away from what the Suns have done as they have beaten who was put in front of them. Devin Booker leads the team with 27.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists. Chris Paul has been huge for the Suns on the court and has added 18.1 points and 8.7 assists.
They met twice in the regular season, and the Suns won both games by a single point. It is going to be tough going for the Bucks if Antetokounmpo can't give it a go. Middleton and Holiday played well in the last game but have been inconsistent in the playoffs and that can't happen if Giannis is not in the lineup. Without the Greek Freek in the lineup, it is hard to Fear the Deer. Take the Suns in Game one.
