The New York Yankees took game one of their weekend series against the Houston Astros. The Yankees were able to get their offense going, as they pounded out 12 hits and scoring four runs in a shutout win. The Yankees will look to keep things going by sending Gerrit Cole to the mound. So far this season, he has posted a 2.01 ERA with 135 strikeouts and 30 walks in 105.0 innings. Unlike the Yankees, the Astros could not fins their bats, managing just three hits in the loss. The Astros will counter with Zack Greinke on the mound. This season, he has posted a 3.64 ERA in 111.1 with 82 strikeouts and 22 walks.


Greinke has given up six earned on 13 hits in his last 12.2 innings while Cole has given up nine earned in 8.1 innings over his last two starts. Cole has also given up 10 home runs in his last six games. Cole has not been the same since the crackdown on the sticky stuff, I'm just saying.... Take the Astros at home in this one.
