The Atlanta Braves pounded the Philadelphia Phillies into submission yesterday 15-3. Drew Smyly went four shutout innings in the star but did not factor in the decision. Touki Toussaint gets the start for the Braves today, He is 1-0 with a 1.35 ERA and 5 strikeouts this season. The Phillies have lost four out of their last five games including to the Braves in this series. The Phillies will look for a better performance today, especially from their pitching staff. Vince Velasquez allowed six runs on five hits in less than three innings and the rest of the staff wasn't much better. They will turn to Aaron Nola for today's start. He has not been great this season, posting a 6-6 record with a 4.64 ERA and 131 strikeouts.

Aaron Nola has not pitched well this season as compared to the numbers he has put up in his career. Against the Braves this season in three starts, he has posted a 6.32 ERA. He has allowed 15 runs in his last three starts overall lasting just 16 innings. Touki Toussaint has made one start in the majors and it was a good one. Against San Diego, he went 6.2 innings and allowed just one run. I find value on the Braves at this number.
