The San Francisco Giants will look to build off of their 3-2 win over the Mets last night. The Giants had just four hits as a team but were able to come away with a win. Johnny Cueto threw 4.2 shutout innings. The Giants will look to continue their winning ways by sending Alex Wood to the mound. He has posted a 10-4 record this season with a 4.11 ERA and 130 strikeouts this season.

The New York Mets had 10 hits in the game but could not get the big hits when needed. Taijuan Walker had a strong outing and also had two hits in his own cause. He allowed two runs on two hits while striking out three over six innings of work. They will turn to Carlos Carrasco for today's start. He is 0-2 with an 8.82 ERA and 18 strikeouts this season.

The Giants need to continue to win to keep pace with the Dodgers. the Met have fallen off the pace not only for the NL East but also the NL Wild Card. Carrasco has not pitched well since coming back and the Mets offense has been dismal. I like the Giants to get another win over the Mets.
