Result: Win
The Michigan Wolverines take on the Washington Huskies in the BIG HOUSE on Saturday. The Washington Huskies are coming in wounded as they were embarrassed by FCS Montana 13-7. Washington scored on their opening drive and then never saw the endzone again. Dylan Morris threw for 226 yards but had 3 interceptions. Richard Newton rushed for 62 rushing yards to lead the offense. .
The Michigan Wolverines opened the season the way they needed to, coming away with a 47-14 win over Western Michigan. Cade McNamara threw for 136 yards and 2 touchdowns while J.J. McCarthy threw for 80 yards and a touchdown. Blake Corum led the rushing attack with 111 yards and a touchdown. A.J. Henning had a 71-yard touchdown run in the win.
Washington is just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. Michigan is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 1-11 ATS in their last 12 games against the Pac-12. I am not sure Washington could look any worse than they did last week. Washington was banged up at the skill positions last week but they also had huge problems on the offensive line which is not a good thing when playing Michigan. Montana had three sacks and eight tackles for loss and three interceptions. Michigan looked good on both sides of the ball and their defense should be able to cause some havoc upfront. This is one of those scary games that the line looks too good. But I can’t back a Washington team that looked that bad against a middling FCS team.
Play on Michigan.
