It's alot of points to lay, especially with teams both averaging 80+ points per game and the road team being the weaker team in defensive metrics, but Hampton hasn't hosted a team to the offensive strength since they were blown out by Kent State 62 - 100. JMU beat that same Kent State team 113 - 108 on the road, has been 6-2 ATS and have the more team friendly scoring ability unlike Hampton who have to rely on 2 players to have a good night in order to compete with higher competition. What has me confident in JMU to cover, is that they have played better defense than the stat book shows. Allowing only 69 points to the last 3 away opponents who also have losing records like Hampton, and this is a let down spot for Hampton who won their last two games vs lower tier schools. Should be a high scoring Instate matchup, but we can't fade JMU because of this high spread.
