NFL - Browns @ Texans
(NFL) Cleveland vs. Houston,
Point Spread: -2.00 | -115.00 Cleveland (Away)
Result: Loss
It's Cleveland or nothing for me in this spot. Yes I know the Rookie if the year is on the other side in a home spot and the team has gotten healthier over the last few weeks, but we seen the vulnerability of the Texans and it's a greater disadvantage than the defense of the Browns. As we seen vs the Jets, the real threat to this Browns defense is to run the ball effectively and that's something the Texans haven't done well all season vs good competition (ranked 22nd in rushing yards per game, 92 yards rushing per outing). Defensively I don't see anyone containing Amari Cooper who has been explosive with Joe Flacco at the helm, averaging 150 in the last 3 games played and putting up 265 Recieving Yards and 2 TDs the last time they met weeks ago in Texas. Another glaring weakness for the Texans, is the Tight end, and that's going to be hell containing David Njoku and Amari Cooper if I was a Corneback or Safety (which the Texans are depleted health-wise in, specifically). I don't see many unfavorable matchups for the Browns here, besides playing against a strong arm like CJ Shroud who has shredded defenses (not the jets defense, which Clevelands defense is on par with) and his improvising nature when the play breaks down. If the Browns can continue getting sacks and limiting the chains moving when CJ uses his legs, they should win definitively, but I think this is a high scoring game overall with the Browns winning by 2 field goals. 27 - 21 Browns win.
