NBA - Pacers @ Knicks
(NBA) Indiana vs. New York,
Point Spread: 3.50 | -110.00 Indiana (Away)
Result: Loss
Point Spread: 3.50 | -110.00 Indiana (Away)
Result: Loss
I'm betting on Pacer +3 on the road vs the Knicks for these reasons:
- Let down spot for New York Knicks who are on a 8 game winning streak and have won the last 2 without Julius Randle. On 2 of those teams are above .500 like the Pacers are.
- Pacers are 5-1-2 ATS against the spread vs the last 7 teams played that have a winning record, that includes games vs Boston, Denver ×2, Phoenix ×2, Philly, and Sacramento.
- Both teams have injury concerns, but Indianas injuries are reverting from Out to Questionable tags, while Knicks injuries are going from healthy to Questionable. Tyrese Halliburton is questionable to return after missing many games with a hamstring strain, TJ Mc'Connell may return from illness, and Benedict Mathurin is questionable to return (all missed previous games). Knicks lost Julius Randle indefinitely, Quentin Grimes got hurt last game, OG Ananouby is questionable to play as well.
- Pacers have won the last 2 meetings
Once in Indiana, and once in NY.
- Lacking a strong pain presence is not going to help NY here vs versatile big men Pascal Siakam, Benedict Mathurin, and Myles Turner. I see the Pacer overwhelming the Knicks offensively, as Inidana has averaged 123 points the last 5 games and Knicks have averaged 117 over that stretch.
- IF Haliburton returns for Indiana, I will be much more confident than I already am in the Pacers successfully winning this game. But overall, 4 points is enough for me to take Indiana.
Official Play: Indiana Pacers +3.5
Side Bet: OG Ananouby Over 1.5 Three Pointers Made
Hail Mary: Over 236
