I’m on the Athletics -1.5 runs on the road vs the Chicago Whitesox for these reasons:

- Athletics have been playing the more competitive baseball and are able to finish this series strong vs a poor hitting Whitesox lineup. JP Sears is a pitcher I’m willing to put money on to keep his team safe while his team is gaining runs on the other end.

- The Whitesox have the least hits and second least runs scored this season so far, and have only scored more than 3 runs once in the last 13 games. They will be relying on Davis Martin to keep them competitive here, and he’s been solid so far, pitching an average of 17 outs per start, with a 2.67 ERA. The tough part is that there’s not many lefties on this Athletics team and Martins best game was vs the Redsox who have plenty of southpaws on the roster.

- Athletics have been killing RHP and Soderstrom is batting .327 against Righties and is likely to get to Martin eventually. Overall the Athletics are batting .238 as a team vs Righties and allowing only 5.6 strikeouts per game to them.
