Georgia Southern is coming into this game off of a 40-3 win against Ball State in their last game and they now have a 3-1 record this season. Their only loss came on the road against Wisconsin who is starting to play much better now and they were right in that game up to the 2nd half when the offense just collapsed with turnovers. Wisconsin does have a good defense though and Georgia Southern will have a much easier time in this game against that CCU defense. They are going up against a Coastal Carolina team that has not been good this season as they are 2-2 and already coming off of their 1st conference loss. They lost at home against Georgia State 30-17 and now they are going on the road to play a very strong Georgia Southern team. Coastal Carolina has allowed at least 27 points in 2 of their 3 games against FBS opponents and they also struggled to stop the run against GA State in their last game. GA Southern has a very good running game that will move the ball against this CCU defense but they also have a very efficient passer in Davis Brin who has been playing very well with his accurate throws and he will be able to stretch this Coastal defense along with their run game. Grayson McCall has been regressing in this Coastal Carolina offense ever since they had that big season a few years ago and the team does not have the defense to keep this game within reach on the road. Georgia Southern will cover the spread in this game.
