Texas State is coming into this game off of win against Southern Miss in their last game and they have been on fire recently. They have a top 10 offense in the country right now as they are averaging 43 points scored per game and they are going up against a Louisiana team that they will have plenty of motivation to beat here. Louisiana is 3-2 this season but they are already 0-1 in the conference with a road loss to Old Dominion. A win for Texas State here would not only hurt Louisiana's chances at getting to the conference title but would also boost Texas State's chances. Louisiana has not beaten anyone good either as their 3 wins came against an FCS team, UAB who has been struggling a lot, and Buffalo who has one of the worst teams in the country this year. Both of these teams also average 29 points allowed per game on defense so Texas State has the edge with their stronger offense that is averaging 10 points more scored per game than ULL. ULL has also won all 9 meetings against Texas State so Texas State is going to be very motivated to get their 1st win against Louisiana here, especially on the road.
