Florida State is coming into this game with a 4-0 record and they are coming out of their bye week so they have had some extra time to prepare for this game. They are coming off of a big road win against Clemson in OT but with 2 weeks to settle down now they will not have a let down here but instead will be ready to push for a National Championship. They already have 2 good wins over LSU and Clemson this season but they struggled with a closer win against Boston College and since they are only ranked number 5 in the country, they will be coming out of their bye here looking for some style points to move up. Their offense has been very good all season as they have scored 31 points or more in all 4 of their games and they are going to score on this VA Tech defense that has allowed at least 20 points in each of their last 4 games against much weaker offenses. Virginia Tech is also going to get their chances to score in this game though as Florida State does not have a stout defense that is going to shut them out. Florida State is averaging over 40 points scored per game on offense but their defense is also averaging around 22 points allowed per game as they have allowed 20 points or more in 3 of their 4 games this season. VA Tech is going to score some points here but FSU will also be looking for a big win at home to get some style points and they are going to score 40+ points themselves. Between these two teams, there will be enough points in this game to push it over the total.
