They are going up against an Astros team that has also been playing well but they did struggle more to win their games against the Twins in their last series and they have also been much worse at home this year as they had a losing record at home during the regular season and they have also lost 2 of their 3 home games in these playoffs. Framber Valdez is starting for the Astros here and he is 12-11 with a 3.45 ERA this season. He has only pitched in 1 playoff game this year but he was not good as he pitched at home in their only loss to the Twins last series and he allowed 5 earned runs in that game as well. The Rangers have had one of the best offenses in the MLB all season and now they are getting hot again, Valdez also allowed 6 earned runs in his last home start against the Rangers. Nathan Eovaldi is starting for the Rangers here and he is 12-5 with a 3.63 ERA this season. He has already pitched in 2 games of these playoffs as he had to pitch a game in each round and he has been great as he has allowed just 1 earned run in each of those starts. The Astros offense has already been struggling more this season and Eovaldi will shut them down on the road here as the Astros have been worse at home. The Rangers will win this game.
