Morehead State is coming into this game with a 4-3 record this season and they have been playing much better recently. They have won their last 2 straight games as well as 3 of their last 4 and have been winning their games convincingly as well. They are coming off of a huge win at home by over 20 points against Midway who is not a Division I school, but they also won on the road by 10+ points against Bellarmine in their game prior. All 3 of their losses this season have some on the road and all 3 against very good teams as they lost to Alabama and Purdue who are ranked teams as well as losing to Penn State who was a tournament team last season. They have won all 3 games at home in dominant fashion with 2 games coming against much weaker schools, but they also have a win at home against a Division I school as they beat Mercer by 8 points there. They are going up against an Austin Peay team that is 3-4 this season and has been awful in their games recently. They have lost 3 of their last 4 games with their only win in that span coming at a neutral location against 2-5 Sacramento State. Their other 2 wins this season were both at home against schools who are not in Division I. This is going to be their 1st home game of the season against another Division I school but they have performed so poorly against Division I schools this season with a majority of their losses coming by 8+ points. Austin Peay is also in the 1st season of a new head coach with less than 10% of their scoring and minutes played from last year returning so there is a lot of work to be done for this program to improve.
