Indiana is coming into this game with a 6-0 record this season and they are 3-0 in the conference. They have been playing very well this season as they have won all 6 of their games by 10+ points, their lowest margin of victory being by 14 points. Their offense has been on fire as they have scored 30+ points in every game this season and they have scored 40+ points in their last 5 straight as well. The defense has also been playing well as Curt Cignetti has turned this program around in a very short amount of time. They are going up against a Nebraska team that is 5-1 this season with a 2-1 record in the conference. Their 1 loss came at home against Illinois in OT, but they have won 2 straight games since then. They are coming off of a 14-7 win at home against Rutgers in their last game but they struggled to produce offense in that game against a defense that got shredded at home for 42 points their very next game. They have also played just 1 road game this season which was a 28-10 win over Purdue, Purdue being one of the worst teams in the conference this season and not even being competitive on the field before Walters made some serious changes for Illinois. Indiana has a very good offense that has been scoring a lot of points and racking up a lot of yards as well. They have a very balanced offense that is averaging 200.3 rushing yards per game and 315.3 passing yards per game as well. Their offense is also averaging 47.5 points scored per game which is 2nd in the country. Nebraska has been running the ball well this season, but their run game has not been as strong and this is an Indiana defense that is only allowing 83.8 rushing yards per game. Nebraska does have a very good defense to lean on here, but Indiana is the more talented team overall on both sides of the ball and their offense is going to find ways to move the ball while Nebraska struggles more. Indiana will cover the spread in this game.
