The Seahawks are coming into this game with an 8-7 record this season and this is a game they have to win to keep their playoff hopes alive. They have lost their last 2 straight games, losing to the Packers and the Vikings at home, but they played much better in their last game against the Vikings than they did against the Packers the week before. They lost to the Vikings 27-24 so they are going to be hungry to bounce back after that close loss. They also won 4 straight games prior to this 2 game losing streak and they have actually been much better on the road this season at 5-1. They are going up against a Bears team that is 4-11 this season and they have been awful in their recent games. They have lost their last 9 straight games and they were playing very close in a lot of those games, but they have been falling apart since Thanksgiving after firing their head coach and they have had no fight in their recent games. Their last 3 straight losses have all been by 17+ points and the defense has been awful in these games. They have allowed 30+ points in their last 3 straight as well as 4 of their last 5 games, and their offense has not scored more than 17 points in their last 3 games either. The Seahawks have struggled to stop the run this season, but the Bears do not have much of a running game. The Seahawks were also much better on defense in their 4 games prior to this 2 game losing streak which they played 2 very strong offenses in. The Bears have been getting shredded on defense recently both through the air and on the ground so this pass 1st offense of the Seahawks will get the ball downfield with all of the weapons they have, and they will be able to run the ball better as well. The Seahawks will cover the spread in this game.
