Honestly, this game could go either way, but I'm backing the Illini. The visitors have corrected their course after losses to Oregon and Minnesota. They should be reliable on the road, as they rank top in penalty yards and rarely turn over the football, while the home team ranks 97th in forced turnovers. Illinois should be able to run against the Scarlet Knights' defensive front, which will be the key to victory, as it is 6-0 when running for at least 135 yards this season.

Rutgers has found a way to win when it wins the time of possession and keep the game close early, but that should be challenging against an Illinois team that has outscored opponents 68-43 in the first quarter. The Knights already secured bowl eligibility and have a more winnable game next week. If Illinois can't pull away early enough, momentum could change course, but I trust the Fighting Illini more than the Scarlet Knights.
