Conventional wisdom says home-field advantage is worth three points in the NFL. So, according to this line, the 49ers are just a half-point better than the Jets on a neutral field. I’m just not buying that.

The 49ers have been an elite team for the last five seasons while the Jets…have a lot of potential. Both of these teams have top-tier defenses but have a stronger O-line and an offense that was the best last year in yards per play.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Jets had a very solid season and found themselves in the postseason. I believe the offense will take a few games to find its rhythm and trying to do that right out of the box against a team like San Francisco is a very tall order.
