This Red Storm team is playing very good basketball right now, going 17-3 on the season, and is currently first in the Big East. They’ve won 12 of their last 13 and covered four of their last five. The only blip in that 5-game stretch was a 5-point win over the Hoyas as 9.5-point chalk two weeks ago. So, why pick them tonight on the road? SJU shot just 35.7% from 2-point distance after shooting 33.3% from downtown in that game. It’s their worst shooting performance of the season and much worse than their season average of 52.3% shooting from two-point distance for the season. Even shooting terribly in that game, they were still able to win by five. They should shoot better tonight and increase that margin of victory.
