Both of these pitchers are off to very good starts with Boyd yet to give up a run in two starts and a WHIP of 1.18. Yamamoto has been almost as good, with a 1.69 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP. The reason I think this play is worth a flyer is because the Cubs can put a bunch of crooked numbers on the board. They are first in the NL in rpg and have won 7 of their L9, scoring 7.9 rpg in that stretch. The Dodgers have lost 4 of their L6, including dropping 3 of 4 to the Nats. It’s still early in the season and we will certainly have a better read on both of these teams in a few weeks, but given the current form of each team, I think this play has some real value.
