ASA PLAY 8* ON Oakland A's Money Line (-) vs Chicago White Sox, Wednesday at 3:10 PM ET
Oakland lost 4-1 yesterday but they faced the ace of the White Sox. As a home team and off a loss in which they were held to just 1 run, the Athletics went a perfect 4-0 in the regular season. They had the one late season game played in Oakland where they were the road team against the Mariners (played in California due to smoke in Seattle area) where this angle would have applied but did not as the A's were not the designated home team. So, again, a perfect 4-0 record in this situation and Oakland starter Chris Bassitt getting a shot at the team that drafted him in 2011. This is a nice set-up. Bassitt had a 2..29 ERA in the regular season including a minuscule 0.34 ERA in a spectacular September. The White Sox have pounded lefties this season but now face a tough right-hander. Look for Bassitt to get the job done here while the A's lineup inflicts some damage against Chicago's Dallas Keuchel. The White Sox southpaw has made a couple starts since being out with back spasms and overall soreness in his back but might not be quite 100% healthy yet and we'll take advantage with the short price on the Athletics at home in this bounce back must win spot. Lay it! Bet the Oakland A's on the money line in afternoon action Wednesday.
