#634 ASA FREE PLAY ON Boise State -13.5 over Fresno State, Tuesday at 7 PM ET - Boise entered last week in 1st place in the MWC but lost 2 tight games on the road vs the #1 rated team in the league, San Diego State. They lost the opener @ SDSU in OT and the second meeting by 4. The Broncos now sit in the 4th spot for the upcoming conference tourney but have the opportunity to move up in the standings if they win here and get some help. Boise has a fantastic home court advantage with a perfect 11-0 SU record this year and 23-1 their last 24 here at Extra Mile Arena. The Broncos have won their home games by an average of +17 PPG while making 48% of the shots. They have played 7 games vs the lower half of the MWC and they have won those games by an average of almost +19 PPG including beating this Fresno team by 22 points earlier in the year here at home. Fresno is coming off back to back road game @ UNLV (both losses) and now they hit the road for their 3rd game in 7 days. They are 8-10 in conference play but their road games vs the top half of the conference have not been pretty. They’ve played 5 games on the road vs CSU twice, Nevada twice, and Boise State and the Bulldogs have lost those games by 22, 22, 16, 14, and 22 points. FSU hasn’t even had to face the 2 top rated teams on the league (San Diego St & Utah St) on the road this season. Their offense ranks near the bottom of the MWC in most key categories including 9th in eFG%, 3-point FG%, 2-point FG%, and FT%. The Bulldogs rely heavily on getting to the FT line to score points but Boise allows only 16% of opponents points from the line. They simply don’t foul a lot. The Broncos are a complete team on both ends of the court ranking 2nd in the MWC in offensive efficiency and 3rd in defensive efficiency. They’ve had some bad luck as when teams do go to the line vs Boise they’ve hit 76% of their FT attempts which is the highest in the league. Fresno won’t get to the line much tonight and when they do they only make 65%. This is the home finale for a veteran Boise State team and we get them off 2 losses for extra incentive. They are 15-3 ATS following their last 18 SU losses and this has the makings of a blow out. Take Boise State.
