Up 4-1 with two outs in the ninth inning and no one on base, victory appeared certain for the Mariners on Saturday.

Nope. Seattle managed to blow it, losing, 5-4, in 10 innings, to the host Indians. 

Now the Mariners are back in action less than 24 hours later and they get to face one of the best pitchers in baseball, Shane Bieber. This is the Mariners' final game of their 10-game road trip. It very well could be a give-up game for them taking on Bieber after Saturday's choke job. 

Bieber is back in stellar form, winning his past three starts while compiling a 1.80 ERA with 24 strikeouts in 20 innings during this span. Bieber leads the majors in strikeouts. He's backed by one of the best bullpens in the majors.

The Mariners are last in batting at .207. None of Seattle's bottom-four hitters in their lineup yesterday was hitting more than .183.

Rookie Logan Gilbert has the chance to play David against Goliath. Gilbert, who has a 4.98 ERA, made his big league debut against the Indians on May 13. Cleveland got to him for four runs on five hits in four innings. 

So I'll lay the 1 1/2 runs on the run line with Goliath.
