Cal Poly has taken down the #1 and # 2 seeds in this tournament. How? Defense. CAL Poly has taken both meetings this season vs Northridge, a team that is on ascoring tear and puts up big numbers. Not against Cal Poly though. They simply don't matchup well. Northridge shot under 40% in both meetings this year and Cal Poly won even shooting under 40% in the last match up. The truth is they have won and covered the last 4 meetings winning 3 of the 4 by 10 or more points, Its hard to believe that we will have a team ranked over 200 in the RPI Scale making the big dance. But that's what we will get as CAL Poly is at 232 and Northridge is at 253. Cal Poly has played a much tougher schedule as they have a 136 SOS compared to 288 for Cal Norhtridge.
