Money Line: -120.00 Giants (SFG) (Home)
Result: Loss
Money Line: -120.00 Giants (SFG) (Home)
Result: Loss
This is a 10* NL NON-DIV GOM on the Giants.
I think this is a great price for the 61-61 Giants to bounce back in after losing three straight and the first two games of this series.
Despite the recent slide, San Fran still only sits 3.5 games back of the final Wildcard.
Note that they're 7-3 in their last ten after three or more straight losse sas well.
They're also 8-4 in their last 12 in trying to avenge two or more straight losses vs. an opponent.
Grant Holmes is 0-0 with a 3.79 ERA for the Braves, but he was pretty lucky last time out to get a no-decision vs. the Rockies by allowing five runs over five innings. The rookie has admittedly been decent, he's 0-0 with a 4.71 ERA on the road.
Robbie Ray is 2-1 with a 3.98 ERA and the correct call at this price in this matchup/situation.
Ray was unfortunate in his last outing, as he conceded only two runs and struck out seven over six innings in what turned out to be a no-decision vs. the Tigers. He owns a sharp 28:9 K:BB over his first four starts and I think the veteran will get the job done in this important game for the GIANTS.
Good luck, NP
