Iowa State lost 20-13 last year at home to the Hawkeyes, but it really did come down to the wire. In that game Rocco Becht was 23 of 44 passes for 203 yards, a TD and an INT. With much more experience under his belt now though, including one Cy-Hawk game under his belt, this one has the "feel" of whichever team having its hands on the ball last is going to come out on top once again.
Cade McNamara is back for Iowa after suffering a season-ending injury in 2023, but with nearly 80% of the early public money on the home side, this one also great appeals to my contrarian nature.
