This is a 7* BIG-CHALK CHOKE-OUT on the Boston Bruins.
Boston leads Florida by two points in the race for the Eastern Conference's final playoff spot and has played two fewer games than the Panthers. The Bruins made a number of moves at the trade deadline and if history is any precedence, they have to be liking their chances today as they've taken four straight at home over Calgary; note that the B's have won the last three visits by the Flames by a combined 16-0 score, with goaltender Tuukka Rask posting the last two shutouts. The home side plays with revenge though today as Calgary would pull out the 4-3 OT win on February 16th, the Bruins would blow a three-goal lead in the frustrating setback. The Flames are coming off a 3-2 OT win over Philadelphia, but have started to show some cracks in the armor, it was the team's first win since star defenseman Mark Giordano went out with injury last week; note that Calgary is now 2-2-0 on its seven-game trip. And note that Calgary is just 10-16 (-6.5 units) in all non-conference games this year, while Boston is interestingly 15-2 (+11 units) over its last 17 games played in the month of March. Expect the BRUINS to make the most of this game and to find a way to get the job done at the end of the night.
