AAA's 10* Game 4 *Rangers/Bolts* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER!
(NHL) NY Rangers vs. Tampa Bay,
Total: 5.00 | -114.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 5.00 | -114.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the UNDER between the New York Rangers and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
I correctly played on the UNDER in Game 1 and the OVER in Game 2, but admittedly had a bad call in Game 3 as these teams would combine for 11 total goals in the end. After back-to-back high-scoring affairs, I think the conditions are now right for a slower-paced contest like what we saw in Game 1 and ultimately expect this total to fall below the posted number once the final horn blares. Up until this point the Rangers had been getting the job done with a combination of shut down, trap-style defensive play and fantastic goaltending and while that's what we did in fact see in Game 1, it's obviously been a much different story in the last two. I do not think it's time to hit the panic button yet though if you're a New York fan, goaltender Henrik Lundqvist is a veteran and excels in these spots; also note that the Rangers have in fact seen the total go UNDER the number in two of three this postseason when trailing in a playoff series and in 11 of 19 this year after allowing four goals or more. And despite being the league's highest scoring team, note that the Lightning have seen the total dip below the posted number in 21 of 40 this year after scoring four goals or more in their previous contest. I think the writing is on the wall and a classic hard-hitting, grind-it-out playoff battle is in the cards, play on the UNDER.
