The Coach's Saturday Night NHL *SURE SHOT*
(NHL) Detroit vs. Toronto,
Money Line: 100.00 Toronto (Home)
Result: Win
The Toronto Maple Leafs are coming off three consecutive wins and defeated the Detroit Red Wings 2-1 in at Joe Louis Arena their last game. The Wings are coming off a game in Florida last night where they came up short in a 3-2 loss after shootouts. They now have to make an uncomfortable trip to Toronto and this should be a good spot to back the home team.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Home Cookin' Offense - No other team has been more prolific on home ice than the Leafs this season. They've scored 63 of their 94 goals at Air Canada Centre and have found the net 32 times over their last seven at home for an average of more than 4.5 goals per game.

2. Goaltending - The Wings have confirmed that they will start their back-up Petr Mrazek in tonight's contest. He has won each of his three starts this season behind a 2.59 GAA but will be put to the test here against a prolifc Islanders offense. It is still unclear who will tend the net for the Leafs, but I'm inclined to believe they'll be going with James Reimer who made 41 saves against the Wings Wednesday. Jonathan Bernier is just as good of an option though, allowing only three goals over his last two games winning four of his last five.

3. X-Factor - The Wings are coming off two consecutive shootout losses, winning only one of six chances for the season. Maybe there's more to it than just bad luck?

Selection: This is a play on the Toronto Maple Leafs (8*)
