The Coach's NHL UNDERDOG *SHOCKER*
(NHL) Boston vs. Nashville,
Money Line: 135.00 Boston (Away)
Result: Loss
The Boston Bruins are coming off two disappointing home losses as they open a three game road trip with a game at Bridgestone Arena tonight. The Predators have been one of the bigger surprise's of the season, and are boasting one of the better home records in the NHL. Who would have thought we would get Boston at this kind of price coming into the season? Despite their records, I'm holding the Bruins as the better team and I think we're getting a terrific price on the visitors.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Situational/Motivational - We will have an overachieving Predators team coming up against an underachieving Bruins team. The Predators did lose their last home game and that gotta hurt their confidence, no matter how well they've performed at home prior. This will be the first meeting between the two teams this season, with the Bruins winning four of the last five.

2. The Predators Power Play - Only the Sabres have a worse efficiency on the power play than the Predators. They've converted on less than 11% of their opportunities and are 0-for-41 in their last 13 at home. It should be near impossible to have the results they've had with those numbers, and reality should kick in soon if they don't improve on the man advantage.

3. X-Factor - Zdeno Chara has logged a total of 45 minutes of ice-time since recovering from his knee-injury that had him sidelined for 19 games. The 37 year old captain is vital for the Bruins, and I expect their performances to get better exponentially with his fitness increasing.

Selection: This is a play on the Boston Bruins (8*)
