The Coach's NHL Saturday Night SURE SHOT
(NHL) San Jose vs. Los Angeles,
Money Line: -134.00 Los Angeles (Home)
Result: Win
The San Jose Sharks had a five game winning streak snapped before the Christmas break as they came up short against the Ducks, losing 3-2 in overtime. I think they'll find themselves on the losing side in another local rivalry tonight as they visit the Los Angeles Kings.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Situational/Motivational - The Sharks claimed the first meeting between these two teams this season in a convincing fashion, winning 4-0 in L.A. The visitors came into that contest full of revenge after getting knocked out by the to-be Stanley Cup Champs in the Western Conference Quarterfinals last season. Tonight we'll have the hosts looking for revenge, and also seeking redemption after dropping a 3-0 lead losing 4-3 in OT to the Flames prior to the break.

2. Home Cookin' - The Kings have won 13 of their 19 games at Staples Center this season and have dismissed the Sharks in 10 of the last 12 meetings at home.

3. X-Factor - Marian Gaborik has seven goals over his last five games and will be looking to keep a five-game goalscoring streak intact.

Selection: This is a play on the Los Angeles Kings (8*)
