The Coach's 10* NHL Thursday SURE SHOT
(NHL) Edmonton vs. Tampa Bay,
Total: 5.50 | -110.00 Under
Result: Loss
The Atlantic Division leading Tampa Bay Lightning are coming off back-to-back high-scoring losses as they host the Edmonton Oilers tonight. One might expect a one-sided contest with the visitors ranking dead last in the standings, but the way Tampa has played lately it might not be so easy. The Oilers poor defense leaves them with no other choice than to go all out attack, and I expect to see plenty of goals from both sides here.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. The Lightnings Firepower - No other team is more prolific than the Lightning as they're leading the league with 3.22 goals scored per game. They may be coming off back-to-back losses, but it was more down to poor defense as they scored three goals in both games. We can expect more goals tonight as the Oilers ranks second last in the NHL, allowing 3.32 goals per game.

2. Trends - All of the Oilers last four and six of the Lightning's last seven overall have gone over the total.

3. X-Factor - Steven Stamkos is leading the Lightning with his 25 goals for the season and has four goals over his last three games, tallying two at Boston Tuesday.
