The Coach's TEN STAR Total MASSACRE
(NHL) Vancouver vs. Chicago,
Total: 5.00 | 113.00 Under
Result: Win
The Vancouver Canucks come into Chicago tonight off a 5-3 loss at Minnesota. The Hawks and Canucks are two teams that really don't like each other, and we've seen plenty of rough stuff in this series over the years. Both these teams have been guilty of poor defensive play in recent games, and we could see a few more defensive breakdowns here tonight.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Special Teams - The Canucks owned the league's best penalty killing unit at the All Star break, allowing opponents to score on fewer than 12% of their chances. They've struggled since, surrendering eight power play goals in 27 short-handed situations.

2. Fire Power - Chicago's Patrick Kane is tied for the league lead with 59 points this season, and he's got a history of lighting it up when he plays the Canucks.

3. X-Factor - Chicago's goaltender Corey Crawford has performed better on the road this season than he has at home. He's just 8-6 with a 2.56 GAA in Chicago in comparison to 13-6 with a 2.03 GAA on the road.

Selection: This is a play on the Canucks@Hawks to go OVER the total (10*)
