The UCLA Bruins are an underdog in the first round against the Southern Methodist Mustangs, who are the AAC Champions. The Bruins had an off year, finishing fourth in the Pac-12 behind Arizona, Utah and Oregon. They finished the season strong though, with wins over the Ducks and the Utes, and a couple of tough losses in close games against the Wildcats. I don't think the Bruins are getting enough respect here in this game.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Previous History - The Bruins have covered the spread in seven of their last nine games overall, which is even more impressive when you look at their schedule during that span. The Mustangs haven't played a ranked team since November, and lost both their games against Top 25 teams this season.

2. Isaac Hamilton - The sophomore guard scored 36 points on 13-of-17 shooting in a win over USC last Thursday, but played just 15 minutes scoring six points in a loss to Arizona the following day. Look for Hamilton to be a bigger factor in this game.

3. X-Factor - The Bruins are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
