The Coach's Tuesday NHL Trifecta (featuring 10* total!)
(NHL) Tampa Bay vs. Toronto,
Point Spread: 1.50 | -160.00 Toronto (Home)
Result: Win
The Tampa Bay Lightning snapped a two game skid as they won 5-3 at Montreal last night. They're coming to Air Canada Centre to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight, a venue where they've already suffered a defeat once this season losing 5-2 back in November. While Tampa Bay undoubtedly is the superior team, I think Toronto will be able to keep this a close game.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Situational/Motivational - Last night's win meant that the Lightning are guaranteed a spot in the post-season. As they did it against an Atlantic Division rival they swept the season series against will only make their sense of accomplishment even greater, and I don't think they'll come in fully focused here. Meanwhile, those who thought Toronto had given up on the season after seven straight defeats better think again. It defeated a Senators team clawing for a spot in the playoffs 4-3 in OT Saturday, and I'm sure they'll be eager to not lose the momentum that win carries with it.

2. Home Cookin' - The Maple Leafs may be sitting near the bottom of the Eastern Conference, but they've been able to stay competitive on home ice more often than not where they've picked up 20 of their 28 wins on the season. The Lightning are also a much stronger at home than on the road and they've won only eight of the last 30 meetings in Toronto.

3. X-Factor - Tyler Bozak was the name on everyone's lips Saturday as he recorded his first career hat-trick and added one assist in the win against the Sens. He may be scoreless over the three meetings with Tampa Bay so far this season but has assisted three and we can expect him to come in hungry for more goals tonight.

Selection: This is a play on the Toronto Maple Leafs +1.5 (8*)
