3pack
(NHL) Carolina vs. Philadelphia,
Money Line: -157.00 Philadelphia (Home)
Result: Loss
The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 in a shootout last Saturday, but that is also their only win over their last six games. They've lost both outings since while the Flyers have bounced back with back-to-back wins against the Pens and the Islanders. I think the Flyers will ride that momentum and take revenge tonight as they host the Canes in their own building.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Fatigued Hurricanes - The Canes will play their fifth game over a span of only eight days as they take the ice at Wells Fargo Center tonight and they've lost each of their last five in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 situation. They're coming off a 3-2 loss at Detroit Tuesday and are a pathetic 2-10 in their last 12 games playing on one day of rest.

2. Road Woes - Carolina has one of the worst road records in the NHL on the season winning only 11 of its 40 match-ups away from home and has lost all of its last five outside of Carolina. Philly meanwhile has the fifth best home-record in the East and has won four of its last five in front of the home fans.

3. X-Factor - Philadelphia's netminder Steve Mason is 4-0-1 with a 1.78 GAA over his last five starts and is 16-5-5 with a 1.97 GAA over 27 outings at home on the season.

Selection: This is a play on the Philadelphia Flyers
