Rogers' 10* Coach's Clinic
(MLB) Washington vs. Atlanta,
Money Line: -125.00 Washington (Away)
Result: Loss
The surging Washington Nationals have won nine of their last 10 and they picked up a comfortable 6-1 win in the opener of a three-game set against the Atlanta Braves last night. The Nats are looking good to set themselves up for a sweep with another win tonight, and you just got to love the price we're getting on the visitors in this match-up.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - The Nats will hand the ball to Doug Fister (3-3, 4.15 ERA) who tossed seven scoreless innings of four-hit ball in a 7-0 win against Atlanta in his last start six days ago. That was hardly a fluke as he's 4-1 with a 2.18 ERA in six career starts against the Braves, and they've been anything but prolific at the plate of late. That's bad news for the Braves rookie starting pitcher Matt Wisler (1-1, 3.75) who might need some run-support if he's to escape this game without getting charged with his second career loss. He was matched-up against Fister last Tuesday and surrendered six runs (four earned) on nine hits while lasting only four innings and 75 pitches of the 7-0 loss.

2. The Braves Bats - Atlanta has mustered only 11 runs over its last six games while batting .237 and it has scored a paltry three runs over the last four meetings with the Nats.

3. X-Factor - Washington has won 14 of Fister's last 17 starts against a team with a losing record.

Selection: This is a play on the Washington Nationals (10*)
