Dallas Stars -142 (7*)
(NHL) Vancouver vs. Dallas,
Money Line: -142.00 Dallas (Home)
Result: Win
The Vancouver Canucks had gone four straight games without a win before recording an impressive 5-1 win against the Montreal Canadiens Tuesday. With the losing streak ended and that monkey off their back it sets up a letdown spot for them when visiting the surging Dallas Stars tonight.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. The Stars Power Play - Dallas is second best in the league in power play goals with an average of 1.0 per game and a 30% conversion rate. Jamie Benn is tied with Patrice Bergeron for the lead with four power play goals and his 15 points overall for the season is the very best tally in the league.

2. Road Woes - The Nucks may be a perfect 3-0-0 away from home so far this season, but wins against the Flames and the by-then out-of-form Kings and the lowly Ducks does hardly impress. They're off a five-game home-stand and might not appreciate going out on the road again, particularly not to Dallas where they've lost four straight meetings.

3. X-Factor - The Nucks netminder Ryan Miller is 0-4-1 with a 4.35 goals-against average in his last five starts against the Stars.
