The UCLA Bruins were upset in their season opener, losing to Monmouth by a score of 84-81. They turned the ball over 23 times, and shot just 37.7 percent from the field. I expect them to clean things up, and respond with a much better effort tonight against Cal Poly.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - The Bruins have been a good bet at home, especially against weaker opposition. UCLA is 38-18 ATS in it's last 56 home games versus a team with a losing road record.
2. Perimeter Shooting - The Mustangs attempted 25 three-point shots in a loss to UNLV Friday, but only managed to hit 28 percent from beyond the arc. The Bruins were significantly better, hitting 8-of-21 from downtown.
3. X-Factor - The Bruins are 5-1 ATS in their last six versus teams from the Big West.
