The San Francisco Giants are tied with the Dodgers at the top of the NL West, and they are two games up on Arizona as of Friday. Saturday's Game 3 will feature a tough match-up for the Giants, sending a struggling veteran pitcher to the mound. My money is on the D'Backs at home.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - Jake Peavy will get the call for the visitors, and he looks like a pitcher who's age is catching up to him. Peavy (1-4, 8.47 ERA) allowed three runs on five hits and five walks in five innings in a home loss to the Blue Jays in his last outing. He's already lost to Arizona once this year, and he came into this season with a record of 11-17 with a 4.76 ERA in 39 starts on the road since 2013.

2. Batter vs. Pitcher - The D'Backs haven't been fooled by Peavy, hitting .333 over a combined 93 at bats. Paul Goldschmidt is 3-for-9 with a home run lifetime versus Peavy.

3. X-Factor - The Giants are 0-4 in Peavy's last four starts on the road.
