Rogers' 10* Game 7 TOTAL DOMINATION >> AWESOME 14-6-1 L4 Days!
(NHL) Edmonton vs. Anaheim,
Total: 5.50 | 130.00 Over
Result: Win
The set-up: The Ducks/Oilers series saw the visiting team win the first four games, before things really got interesting. The Ducks made a miraculous third-period comeback in Game 5 at Anaheim, scoring three goals in the last 3:16 with their goaltender pulled. Then won in double-OT to take a 3-2 lead. Edmonton returned home but put the team's crushing Game 5 loss behind them quickly, scoring five first-period goals in a 7-1 rout and that sets up Wednesday's second Game 7. Anaheim is well-familiar with Game 7s but those memories are all bad, as the Ducks have lost Game 7s in each of the last four postseasons As for the Oilers, they own a 6-3 all-time record in Game 7s but they will play in their first since a 3-1 loss to Carolina in the 2006 Stanley Cup final. By the way, the 2006 season was the last time Edmonton has made the playoffs!

Edmonton: Leon Draisaitl recorded a hat trick to highlight his five-point performance in Game 6, increasing his point total to 16 (six goals, 10 assists) in his last eight games after being held off the scoresheet in his first four playoff tilts. His five-point performance was just one better than that of Mark Letestu, who scored two goals and set up two others to increase his point total to 11 (five goals, six assists) in 12 postseason games. Captain Connor McDavid also has five tallies in the playoffs, but surprisingly saw his goal-scoring streak come to a halt in the lopsided victory on Sunday.

Anaheim: Obviously, the Ducks are off a demoralizing loss and must alter their fortunes on Wednesday when they host the finale of their Western Conference semifinal against the Edmonton Oilers. Head coach Randy Carlyle doesn't want to hear anything about the failures of the last four years. "I wasn't here. So don't pin any of the (previous) Game 7s on me. Simple as that. This is a different group," he told the Orange County Register. Fair enough? Maybe, maybe not?

The pick: Here's one glaring similarity to consider. Anaheim lost Game 6 prior to falling in the series finale in each of the previous four postseason. Anaheim's veterans surely don't want to be answering the same questions about their inability to win the big game for a fifth consecutive season. Then again, most of the young Oilers roster will be wading into the uncharted waters of a mutual elimination game. Expect both teams to play this close to the vest. Make the Under a 10* play.
