The set-up: I think this a great spot to pull the trigger on the underdog tonight. The Pelicans come in "under the radar" in my opinion. The Thunder enter off a 123-114 home win over the Blazers, but with two nights off before a game at home vs. the Bucks on Sunday night, I expect the home side to get caught looking past its opponent tonight. And who could fault the Thunder in doing so? They're playing at home and facing a team playing without its superstar (Pelicans' center Anthony Davis is out) and coming off a game just last night.

The pick: New Orleans though can put points on the board with the best of them. Note that the Pelicans average 117.1 PPG, while the Thunder average 114. Take it for what you will as well but the Pelicans are 4-1 ATS in their last five as a road underdog in the 6.5 to 12 points range, while the Thunder are just 3-7 ATS this year as a home fav in the 6.5 to 12 points range. A great "situational" play on the Pelicans.
