The set-up: Both teams are pushing hard towards a playoff berth. The visitors though hand the ball to their ace Stephen Strasburg and I believe he'll be the difference maker in this particular contest. The home side counters with veteran Julio Teheran.

The pitchers: Strasburg (11-4, 3.46 ERA) is 13-11 with a 3.99 ERA vs. Atlanta, including 2-0 with a 3.46 ERA in two starts vs. ATL this year.

Teheran (5-6, 3.71) has been sharp of late, but still note that he's 6-6 with a 4.13 ERA in 22 career starts vs. Washington, including going 0-2 vs. it last year (has yet to face them this season.)

The pick: This is only the third time these teams have met this year. The Nationals are desperately trying to run down the division leaders and there's no better time than now with their "ace" on the mound. As mentioned off the top, I believe Strasburg will be the difference.
