The set-up: No need to overthink this one. With just over a month to go in the regular season, I believe that Dodgers' veteran Clayton Kershaw comes in focused here vs. the Marlins' Jordan Yamamoto. And because of that, I do indeed expect a lop-sided blowout for the hard-hitting visiting side once it's all said and done.
The pitchers: Kershaw (11-2, 2.77 ERA) has arguably been the best pitcher in all of MLB of late, going 4-0 with a 1.66 ERA over his past six starts. In four starts at Marlins Park he's 2-2 with a 1.85 ERA.
Yamamoto (4-3, 4.17) has regressed mightily after a great start to his career, allowing 19 runs over his past four trips to the hill.
The pick: LA has won five series in a row, going 12-4 in that span. Look for Kershaw to keep the foot on the gas and lay the 1.5 runs for the reasonable price.
