The set-up: The Padres have looked good in the early going, but I think they're over-priced on the road here, swinging the value to the hungry home side. Chris Paddack (1-0, 0.00 ERA) gets the nod for the visitors and he enters off having gone six scoreless in his season debut vs. the toothless D-Backs on Friday. If Paddack had one weakness last year, it was his play on teh road though, going 3-4 with a 4.53 ERA.

The pick: Johnny Cueto (0-0, 2.25) gets the call for the home side and he earned a no-decision in his team's season opener, allowing one run off five hits while striking out three over four innings. I look for the veteran to match Paddack inning for inning and in a scenario like that, the hungrier home dog is the correct call in my opinion.
