NY is just 2-7 in its last nine after scoring nine or more runs in a victory at home in its last outing and I think it'll have difficulty containing this red hot visiting side. The Phillies go with Jake Arrieta (2-4, 6.49 ERA) who comes in off an outing to forget vs. the Braves on Sunday, allowing seven runs over 1.1 innings. Arrieta has to be feeling confident here though facing the Mets, as despite a 4-5 record, he sports a sharp 3.21 ERA in 14 career starts vs. them.

The pick: Rick Porcello (1-4, 6.00) gets the nod for the home side and he's 3-3 with a 4.61 ERA in seven career starts vs. the Phillies. He faced them on August 16th and took a loss by allowing four runs off ten hits over six innings. I think the Phillies' momentum is real and getting "plus money" is a big bonus here.
