The set-up: What can we expect from these two teams this year? The odds of even making the playoffs are stacked against both sides, but on opening night I think the Hornets are worth a second look. The Hornets have a great group of young players that are out to prove themselves, including Terry Rozier, Cody Zeller, Cody Martin, Malik Monk and LaMelo Ball.

The pick: The Cavs on the other hand will be without the services of Kevin Love, Cedi Osman, Colin Sexton, Larry Nance Jr. and others. This one really could get ugly for the home side. Charlotte has won four of the last five in this series and I expect that trend to continue on Wednesday. Consider the Hornets in this one.
